On February 1, 2023, the Ministry of Interior began an exceptional revision of the electoral lists. This revision is in the perspective of the presidential election of 2024. According to a press release from the ministry, it is framed within provisions of article L37 paragraph 5 of the electoral code. « Always, in the application of the aforementioned article, this revision will replace the ordinary revision which should start on February 1, 2023. The decree organising this exceptional revision will be taken and published, » the note informed. In addition, the Ministry of Interior informed of the holding of a communication campaign to better inform the population.
